According to several reviews the Sony XBR8 LCD flat panel with LED backlighting is the best LCD flat panel for the year 2008 in terms of picture quality, only a Pioneer Plasma offers a better overall picture quality compared to the XBR8 (Possible the new 2009 Panasonic Z1 and V10 plasmas might beat the Sony XBR8 in terms of picture quality).
