Sony KDL-40VE5 vs. Sony KDL-40W5100 - Blu-ray Forum

Which would you guys recommend between theses 2 TV's. Best Buy has the 40W5100 for $889, but the thing is last night when I went shopping last night at my local BB they also had a open box 40VE5 for $749 which I ended up getting and up to $884 altogether after tax and CA recycling fees.

So far the 40VE5 I have it hooked up with AT&T Uverse HD Box and HD sports channels (ESPN, TNT) have looked pretty good. Movie HD channels (HBO, CINEMAX, Showtime) have looked pretty good also in HD.

Gaming: I hooked up my 60GB PS3 and was playing Madden 10, Heavy Rain demo, God Of War Collection and looked pretty good but not as good as my XBR 4 I use to have.

My biggest complaint and why I'm seriously considering returning the 40VE5 and getting the 40W5100 is because of the speakers and ugly design of the 40VE5.

Also the Sony TV remote that came with the 40VE5 looks so cheap.

Get the W, it has internet streaming, better design and Bravia Engine 3

I ended up returning the 40E5 and got the 40W5100.

Installing the screws for the stand that comes with the tv is such a pain in the ass.
