Default Blade Runner Comic Book Series Begins

For those of you who are Blade Runner fans, a comic book publisher that has really made a name for themselves, Boom! Studios, is publishing the complete "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" novel by Philip K. Dick into a 24-issue maxi series, which will run monthly. As Blade Runner fans know, the movie was based on that novel but the film only told a small part of it. The comic series will cover all of it from beginning to end in full color.

The first issue was released this past Wednesday, so if you are a Blade Runner fan, you won't want to pass this series up. They are doing multiple covers for each issue by different artists. Issue #1 had three covers (Cover A, B, C) and a 4th cover (Cover D) which was a comic book retailer variant edition based on how many regular copies ordered.

If you have a comic book store near you, defiantly check it out, and if they didn't carry it, have them order it from their distributors. If you are in the greater Seattle area, you can try "Corner Comics" in Kenmore as they should have it in stock, or can re-order it.

It is going to be a great series, issue #1 was quite impressive and featured back matter by writer Warren Ellis and issue #2 to have back matter by writer Matt Fraction. I will see if I can scan the first issue cover here as well.
