Default Need advice of networking my home

Okay so im building a new house and iv wired a total of 6 rooms with a total of 7 CAt5e cables. as of now i have a Motorola WR850G wireless broadband router
heres a review its just a basic solid router that iv installed dd-wrt onto.

Can i connect all ten cables to this router Netgear - FS116NA - 16-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Network Switch? would it work if i have my modem then pluged my modem into my wireless router then run a cable from my port 1 on my Motorola wireless router to the Netgear 16-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Network Switch, then the 10 LAN cables from the rooms into the Netgear 16 port network switch, will i get Internet to those 10 rooms? (and only around 4 of the rooms will be actively using Internet at one time)

My Internet line will be 6 mbps down and 1 mbps up will i experience a noticeable difference in my speed if 3 computers just e-mailing and face booking and one ps3 playing on line?
