BD Sales Information: July 13-19
Posted July 23, 2009 09:40 AM by Josh Dreuth
Lionsgate Home Entertainment topped the Blu-ray sales charts this past week with the Blu-ray release of 'The Haunting in Connecticut', while the previous week's top seller, Summit Entertainment's 'Mad Men: Season Two', also a Lionsgate title, debuted in the third spot for the week ending July 19th. Here is the Blu-ray Top 10 (previous-week ranking in parenthesis):
• The Haunting in Connecticut
(1) Knowing
• Mad Men: Season Two
(2) Push
(4) Gran Torino
(-) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
(6) Taken
(3) The Unborn
(5) Transformers
(-) Harry Potter: Years 1-5

The theatrical release of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' had a noticeable affect on Blu-ray sales last week, with 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' and 'Harry Potter: Years 1-5' jumping back into the charts after an extended absence.

Surprised by this considering how divided people seem to be on Knowing.
