Default Is this Yamaha speaker good for the price?

http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-NS-M225...284737&sr=8-13

are this better fit for sorround and sorround back then for floor stand? i had onyko s9100x and those yamaha one look about same size as my current onyko front speaker but i think i got a bit weak therefore wanna upgrade. Or just stick with energy and polk?

Newer offerings from Yamaha (for speakers) really aren't the best-bang-for-the-buck.

I'd stick with Polk/Energy etc. They haven't focused on building/designing high quality speakers for many years now.

Stick with Energy and Polk.

Having had those Yamaha I think I can say with confidence that Polk Monitor 30 will do better than those and can be found for under $100 and Monitor 40s which can be had for $150 or less will bury them.

On paper maybe not but in real life the Polks will be better all around and cheaper.

Those are 6 Ohms if that is a concern.
