Anyone get Arlington Road? - Blu-ray Forum

I tried getting it on release date at best buy and circuit city and neither of them carry it in stores. I ordered it on Amazon and am anxiously awaiting it. Just wondering if anyone bought it yet, and how the PQ is. Since it's a Sony movie, I am hoping for great pq. I thought the movie was awesome, and can't wait too watch it on blu.

I just ordered it today after searching at 2 Best Buys, 2 Circuit Cities, a Walmart and 2 Targets... So I should get it on Monday.

I ordered mine from an online retailer and still have not gotten it yet. I was busy anyways the last 2 days I might watch it on Saturday hopefully I'll get it on Friday. Once I get it I'll post back as well!! Hopefully it looks good it's an awesome movie!!

Lol.. are we just ordering movies because they are BD? heh.. This movie was bad.. and the main actor guy makes the worst faces ever. It is an inside joke between a friend and myself.. we laughed the whole way through the movie. Maybe we just have a weird sense of humor

I don't know, I thought it was a good movie. I definitely don't buy BD's for the sake of buyin them. I bought this one because I liked it. There are plenty of other movies I would buy if I was going to for the sake of buying.

Netflix shipped my copy the day before yesterday, but I don't know where it's coming from because it's supposed to arrive tomorrow....

I don't buy blu ray movies just because. I buy them if I like the movie enough to buy on blu ray. I just watched Arlington Road and I must see it looks great. A big improvement over the SD. If you like this movie, you will not be disappointed with the PQ.

Yea I would definately agree. This was a very good movie, I am anxiously awaiting my copy so I can find something to do with my SD version of it.

I received this movie last week, and had a chance to watch it Monday. The video is not going to 'wow' you, but it is a solid transfer. It seems a bit soft, but I did notice plenty of time when the camera went out of focus during a scene, so it could very well be on the master as well. Overall, its clean and definitely better than the DVD.

Audio, of course, is outstanding. Its a very front heavy mix, but I understand there was some dialog drowning issues with the DVD that don't appear on this disc.

The only extra I checked out was the alternate ending which features a long intro. If you are a fan of the movie (which I am, but I can see how others may not be), this is definitely worth the upgrade. If you haven't seen it, give it a rent. The story is not for everyone and the PQ is nothing to show off.
