Default Rob Thomas: Something to Be?

I saw this at best buy yesterday for $19.99. I believe it just came out even though the release date said October. Anyone heard this yet? I haven't seen any reviews for this BD yet but the reviews of the DVD version on Amazon were very positive. I've always been a huge fan of Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas' solo career and I would love to hear some feedback on this BD. Thanks!

Are you talking about the Soundstage Red-Rocks Blu-ray? It's not supposed to be out until October. I'm a bit confused now.

since you are a self-proclaimed "Huge Fan", why didn't you just buy it

I wasn't aware it was released though.

actually after getting no responses, thats exactly what I did. Its a great show, a little short but very good. I wanted to make sure the transfer was good. No use buying something on blu ray if the a/v quality isnt worth it, right?

Anywho I'll give the PQ a 4, 1080i (very good, just wish there was a bit more light onstage to show off a bit more detail) AQ 5, (excellent mixing, very full sounding). extras are good if you buy it at best buy it supposedly comes with some extra songs that wont be available if bought elsewhere. Rob sounds great live, its a different kind of show, its more chill. The final song "this is how a heart breaks" was nothing short of awesome. I found myself getting goosebumps several times during this concert. during some of the slower acoustic songs, couples in the audience were seen dancing with each other. it really must have been something to be at that awesome venue seeing this show.

not sure if i was just lucky to get this BD early or if my bestbuy accidentally put this BD out before its scheduled oct release.

Default admin, Can you unlock reviews for Rob Thomas: something to be?

I purchased this at Best Buy today and would like to write a review, but it seems reviews for this BD are locked until a release date of october. I assume it was released early, and I would like to write a review on this BD. If you could unlock it I would appreciate it. Thanks

I guess it's just a timed exclusive then. Best buy gets to sell it exclusively till october then everyone else can sell it.

Yup. Btw...you should put that it's the Soundstage/Red Rocks concert.

Your OP made it seem like it was the album or something.

my bad, I figured since I mentioned BD and DVD in my post that people would know I was referring to the BD concert.

I didn't look, but if you didn't post a review, you should..... could make the decision for someone else easier.

Glad it all worked out.

As far as this statement......

If it's something I don't have on DVD, and I like the movie..... I won't even look for reviews.... I'll just buy it on Blu-ray, regardless of the strength of transfer. Either way, I know it will be better than the DVD, as I haven't seen a Blu-ray that isn't an improvement over the DVD counterpart yet.

I've actually been trying to post a review, but the review is locked because it is saying the blu ray does not release until october 3rd and it will not be opened until then. Guess I will have to write my review then which will give me plenty of time to re watch the concert and extras.

thats true, even badly rated BD's like "the Italian job" are still better than DVD, although I can see that some are still disappointed when the improvement over DVD is negligible.

I saw this concert for sale in a BB ad over a month ago. In fact, I think rded owns it to because he commented on watching it one night. So based on that, I would say it's released.

I guess its a best buy exclusive for now as amazon and other places are showing it only available for pre order and releasing in October.

Default incorrect release date: Rob Thomas something to be live at red rocks.

this blu ray is available now at best buy and has been since june. I would like to post a review for the BD but it is locked stating the release date isnt till october 6th. this is incorrect. Please unlock reviews for this title.
Thanks

Is this a temporary Best Buy exclusive? That could be the reason.
