Digitalbits is reporting that this will be released on 4/6/10. Nothing official yet I guess but take it for what it's worth.

I liked the remake and I'll be picking this up.

I hope that this means MGM will start announcing some more Blu releases soon.

Hope this is true. Big fan of Pierce Brosnan and thought this was a really well-done, fun caper film.

I don't think we'll see many announcements until the sale of their movie library has been completed, hopefully within the next three months.

You can order it on some websites with that release date so I'm pretty sure it's confirmed

They should when they're not good to begin with, which applies to Thomas Crown Affair. Aside from the editing, which was very inventive, the original is a mess. The remake was much better and was McTiernan's best movie in years.

I have never said this before: This is a day 1 purchase for me. Hand down, I loved this movie. I know its not perfect, and plenty of people might not like it, but I could watch it daily and never get bored.

Hopefully this is not another 2007 transfered MPEG-2 craptacular that MGM is so fond of releasing with all the extras on the included dvd. Put the damn extras on the bluray. If I wanted the dvd I would buy it.

This is a great flick. As good as McQueen is, hiring guys to rob people at gunpoint is not as slick as grabbing a painting off the wall of a museum unnoticed and walking out the door with it. Lots more style in this remake.

The synopsis on this site is a little screwed up. It says Pierce Bronson instead of Pierce Brosnan and Renne Ruso instead of Rene Russo
