Default Sony BD-S300 firmware and mac?

Does anyone have an .iso they could send me for the 4.90 firmware? I only have mac's in my house and hate calling sony for a firmware disk when I could easily just download and burn it on my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll check to see if my sister still have the firmware cd I've done. If she have them, then i'll send it to you. Let me have ur address. Sony will send it to you 5-10 times of the firmware, then they won't send it anymore.

alchav21,

The BDP-S300 doesn't have an ethernet port!

I'm pretty sure the files downloaded from Sony are self-extracting exe files which are pc only. I'm guessing that's why he's asking for the iso file.

Usually, downloading, unstuffing and then using TOAST to burn files for win or equivalent works....if u use disc utility (I've had this argument before and won't go into it again) chances are the player/pc won't read the file/disc even if it is iso format beforehand.

Are there any free programs out there that will get the job done? I'm sure individuals would hate to spend that kind of cash just to burn an .iso file properly assuming that's all they'd use the software for.

that extracting program didnt work properly. I plan on going to my friends house to download and extract the .iso file on his pc tomorrow and put it on a thumb drive to burn.

I have toast titanium and like it a lot. very easy to use etc etc, but i find it a pain to burn just an .iso file so I used disc utility in the past with no problems.

I had forgotten that I had uploaded this for other users awhile back:

For all of those Mac users out there that can't extract the .iso from the .exe file, I've extracted the file and uploaded it to an online file sharing site:
