klipsch quintet sl

thinking about grabbing the Klipsch Quintets SL's while the price is low at Best Buy. They look like nice speakers to pair with the PS3. Anyone have these speakers to give me an idea on how they are?

Reviews are far and betwen on these, and I asked a similar question a few days ago in the Klipsch thread as the set is $399 at Vann's. Paired with an AA sub for around $100 and it'd make a sweet little setup, but the wife said no to that and I went with refurb'd Polk RM6750 set off eBay for under $200.

To put it in perspective, for the same price as the Quintet SL, right now at Newegg you could get a pair of Monitor 60s, a CS1, a pair of Monitor 30s, and the same sub from AA for only $50 more than the option above. Based upon my reading here, if I had $550 to spend right now and hadn't already dropped $180 on the RM6750 set, I'd do just that.

But the Klipsch sure do look sweet. Good luck finding info, and please post back if you do get them!


EDIT: Vann's has the Quintet III as the deal of the week at $299 with 50' of 16ga speaker cable. Also lets you toss in a low-end Sony sub for an additional $50.

Comparing polks to Klipsch is like apples and oranges, they are very different sounding speakers. in this price range the Klipsch will be brighter and more detailed over the Polks where the Polks will have a more warmer sound with less detail. I would audition both to see what you like better, the cheaper speaker isn't always the best route.
