HDMI/Blu-ray/LCD Issue - No Sound - Blu-ray Forum

I just got my blu-ray player and LCD TV about a month ago so I am knew to this forum. However, I'm hoping someone can help with a sound issue I am having.

TV: Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-46V5100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV
Blu-Ray Player: Sony BDP-S360 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player
HDMI Cable: Mediabridge Ultra Series - 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable - Version 1.3 Category 2 Certified - 1080p - Blu-Ray - PS3

Occasionally, when I place a Blu-ray in my player. I will have no sound at all. Sometimes, I do have sound, but then the sound cuts out midway through a movie.

Just this last weekend, I bought The Pineapple Express. I am able to get sound, except during the Table Read special feature. All of the other special features seem to sound fine except for this one feature.

So what do you think my issue is? Is the HDMI cable? I got this one off of Amazon and it got great reviews.

Or is this a TV or Blu-ray issue?

I would go to Wal-Mart and pick up another cable just to rule it out.

try using another HDMI port on your TV see if that makes a difference. That way you can make sure the port on your tv is not bad

Use component and cables to hook up your Blu ray and see if you get sound that way.

After you have done those then i would go get a new cable. does not need to be an expensive one.
