HDMI to Blu-ray issue - Blu-ray Forum

I having an issue when I hook up an hdmi cable to my Sony blu-ray player. To any knowledge do you have to change a setting on the blu-ray player to get the sound and picture to work with just using an hdmi cable to my receiver?

what receiver do you have? not all hdmi receivers can process hdmi audio.

yeah, that receiver does not process HDMI audio, you will need an Optical cable.
