Cannot load saved games - Blu-ray Forum

I recently restored my PS3 to default settings which kept all the saved data, saved games, user account, etc. Yesterday, I tried loading some games like Prototype and GTA IV, but it said "This game was created by another user which cannot be loaded". What happened? All I did was restore to default settings?

I have an older back-up of the system, so do you think if I restore the back-up and copying some saved games would work?

Wouldn't hurt to try. I haven't heard of anything like this before. I had problems with my Call of Duty World at War saved games. Everytime I would try to load up a level, after I had already beaten the game, it would say that I had not yet completed the game. Was very frustrating, so I sold the copy back where I work.
