News regarding Spider-Man!! - Blu-ray Forum

hey guys,

On saturday i was invited to NATO (National Association Of Theatre Owner). which is by the way is an event where major studios discuss upcoming theatre news and technology, plus hot new releases and upcoming projects that are still in development. The representator from columbia tristar discussed upcoming movies and talked about Spider-man for little time. He hinted that Spider-man 3 will be released sometime during early november 6 to the 19th, and also hinted that there is a chance for spiderman 4, and if it happens we will see another release of spiderman 3 except its the uncut version. now personally judging from the way sony releases their blu-rays will be probably seeing spiderman 1,2,3 on bluray in a box set, sometimes around that time.

this will be an option, they still are studying what they will be doing, which is why spidey 1 and 2 aren't released yet..

i personally would prefer it if sony does it seperately and a box set.

Spidey 1 and 2 aren't out because they could pair them with 3 for Xmas, and Disney had already pegged the spot for Pirates long ago. Plain and simple

At this point in the game with a war on, they don't want to step on each other's toes. When HD is dead ,then the gloves come off

at this point it really doesn't matter what is released and not. BD already won, HDDVD have no chance to come back at all, as a matter of fact by christmas 07 i think HDDVD is done and over. I will be definitely looking forward for spider in november though

i am clearly stating the fact. sales, popularity, and in terms of technology. BD already showed what its capable off. Now i don't know if you are asking the question to be a smart.....you know what, or you are stating something but you might if you may clear, or explain your point out the question?

Seems rather unlikely we won't get an announcement for North America very soon.

They are probably still debating box only, box + 3, box + separates, or separates.

Why would we want the regular DVD as of SM3 as well (in the Collector's Box)? Does look sweet, though!

bc bluray is already getting good news and plus with releases like potc3, all the spideys, all the harry potters, and oceans flims along with batman, V and prolly cars i believe its pretty much over. Not to mention blockbuster only supporting blu...

HD-DVD sales are plummeting. Profits are nada. They are, at this point only prolonging the format war. There are quite a few articles pointing out reasons why Blu has already won. Check 'em out, they use reliable sources and solid numbers in pointing out the facts. It's not FUD
