Default The Whole Bloody Affair Megatread

Anyone know where I can find the 4 disc DVD set of the Kill Bill movies? Whether it be on Blu Ray or standard DVD, I can't find it. Was it even released yet, what's going on?

I've never seen a 4 disc kill Bill set and it's for sure not on blu-ray.

Amazon had this on sale last Summer! I can't wait for THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR! For whatever reason this title has been postponed. I'm dying to see the complete version as the KILL BILL movies should've been just one anyway but he split them into two for time reasons. I have to believe that it will be released via Blu Ray but it could still be some time away. However this will be a must have, just think the house of blue leaves scene will be in color, this will be a director's cut version so extra footage, and the film will be completely re-edited. WoW! I can't wait!

[QUOTE=bingtau;688857]Amazon had this on sale last Summer! [\QUOTE]

Supposibly this was a hoax according to many sites, someone leaked or released that it wascoming out in Nov. So amazon and others started taking preorders. Miramax says that it was never even in the works.

Weinstein owns the Whole Bloody Affair, and they do have the uber SE in the works. When they choose to release it is still up in the air. That's why Miramax says it was never in production, cause it wasn't on their end

We NEED the Kill Bill movies in HD, NOW!

If we get them as one whole movie instead of two; even better!

This is correct.

I was supposed to be released in December, but got postponed by Weinstein.

Within the 1st five minutes of watching Kill Bill at the theater I knew I loved this movie and was going to buy the DVD the day it came out!

Now, years later there is not doubt in my mind I will get The Whole Bloody Affair on Blu-ray the day it comes out as well. I know it may sound corny, but I truly list this movie as one of my all time favorite movies. Of all time!

I was doing some research on this so called 4 disc set that I have NEVER seen and found out this. Apparently, one website claims that the extended or director's cut version of the movie, I'm assuming Kill Bill Vol.1, was released in Japanese theaters in November 2007. The article never said the film was going to be released on DVD.

Amazon was soliciting preorders with a 12/26/07 release date. I had it pre-ordered, but then I got a "indefinitely postponed" email. Weinstein probably fell behind in production due to their much rumored "financial problems", which is why they haven't released an HD-DVD since last June.
Here's what was left of the listing. NC-17 rating, 247 minutes, and Weinstein Company listed as the studio.

Although it's not my favorite movie ever, Vol 1 was my best experience watching a movie in the theater. It was exhilarating and I love the way it ended.

Default Kill Bill 1 uncut on Blu?

I remember back when Kill Bill Vol. 1 hit DVD Stores it was the regular "R" Version. Although the movie was uncut a lot of it was in B/W so that the violence wasn't so excessive. I spent a lot of money on the Japanese import in order to have all these scenes in color. Does anyone know which version will be released on Blu?

Unless they release the "The Whole Bloody Affair," which is supposed to be the unrated cut.

I think that I like the b/w parts of Vol. 1. It was a change because nobody was doing that or had done that, that way. At least to my knowledge.

I know. I spent over $100 getting the japanese DVD back then. It's really a lot more gory when you see it all in color.

I sure hope they release the right version from day 1.
