Default NetFlix and Blu-ray

Just signed up last night for their service. We'll see how well it goes the first two weeks, since it is a free trial. Anyone else have it? Anyone?...Anyone?...Beuller?...Beuller?

I have it. Its been very good to me, except for some issues.

1. People who rent their blu-rays switch the blu-rays from netflix with regular version DVDs and that pisses me off (its happened twice to me already)

2. Have received about 2 scratched unplayable discs

I have had it for about a month and overall, a good service.

Had it, switched to Blockbuster for my wife(she liked the idea of returning the movie to the store to get another one), wish I hadn't, Netflix seems to have more Blu-Ray available, but hopefully that will change with Blockbuster's big announcement a week or so ago!

I also switched for the same reason (wife likes going to the store) but for this added features of the blockbuster service I would be using Netflix. In my opinion their web interface is much easier to use and I liked the fact that you can elect Bluray as your default format so whenever you select a movie (e.g., clikc the "add to que" button) it automatically places the bluray version in you que (with blockbuster you have to select the movie, select other editions and then select bluray, for each movie). I also liked how netflix allowed you to choose the format from within the que, you did not have to delete the DVD version, then add the bluray version.

As fat as responsiveness, both delivered movies in the same amount of time in the Dallas area.

My girlfriend and I have both the Netflix service and Blockbuster Total Access as well. We've been renting blu-rays on Netflix since I bought my player about 5 weeks ago and they've been shipping them fast without any issues whatsoever. I've also been lucky I guess in that I have yet to receive a scratched disc or a wrong disc for that matter.

On the other hand, I just signed up for Blockbuster's deal about a week and a half ago and their inventory of blu-rays is not that extensive, yet. Also, they have a lot of new releases that are a "long wait" or "very long wait" when you put them in your queue. This kind of reminds me of the last time I was a member or Blockbuster Online (about a year and a half ago) when my experience in renting dvd's from them was less then stellar. But, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt this time around. After all, they are really just starting out with carrying blu-rays.

I had a lot of issues with BlockBuster. But now I have been on NetFlix for 4 months renting mostly blu-ray movies and they have been great. I would recomend Netflix.

Joined Netflix in early April, have been very happy with their service and quality. Got the $10/month plan for unlimited discs, one at a time. Out of fifteen discs received (all but one Blu-ray), one stopped playing in the middle, one was damaged but replaced within two days. Otherwise, no complaints. Some have said the turnaround time gets longer after you've been a member a while but I've not experienced that-- in fact, discs I mail are usually received back the next day and the next one on my list often mailed out same day. Seems to me they are a well-run outfit.
