I have the chance to get a BDP-120 player open box for $180. Sounds like a great deal. Compared to the other models what do you think?
-Doesn't have Home media, netflix, or Pandora streaming but I plan on adding all of those with the new Apple TV once it's released- which will be a better user interface anyway -Don't need the advanced audiophile capacitors since I'll be doing straight HDMI throughout so that would bypass the DAC and ADC anyway -36 bit deep color is no different in reality than 48 bit deep color -PLQS seems irrelevant and isn't supported on my receiver anyway- I doubt the voices are going to be actually off fro the video anyway -External memory is fine since its in the back -Video setup I can do on my TV rather than on the player That leaves the 3 processor noise reduction. Is it worth it? Do DVD's and Blue Rays need it? Thanks. |
