Modern Warfare 2 trophy issues - Blu-ray Forum

I just went though the game, and thought it was rather odd that I didn't get a single trophy, and this isn't a problem that has only effected me, there are quite a few friends of mine that have had this problem also.

is this problem fixable? or do I have to wait for an update to fix it?

I had the same problem. It sucks but this is what you have to do:

(1) Delete the GAME DATA (15MB) update patch.

(2) Turn on Modern Warfare 2

(3) QUIT the game and go back to the XMB

(4) Restart Modern Warfare 2

(5) Start a New Campaign

This will enable trophies. You could theoretically continue from whereever you are now, but you won't get retroactive credit for the trophies you should have already earned. :/

Did you allow the 1.01 update? It's only "sort of" broken. It doesn't enable trophies when it first restarts the game for some reason (costing me 5 hours of play time from last night.. grr).

The trophy list doesn't even show up until the first time you start the campaign as far as I can tell. If you check the trophy list even after step 4 you still won't see the trophies - I only got mine to appear after getting into the campaign.

i just figured out why the trophies didnt load. i did download the patch again. now i got it working.

Oh didn't see this thread. I'm confused about what happened to me:

I put it in and got the patch. I wasn't going to play, so i ejected it. Realized i didn't get the trophy list, so i put it back in again and went to the main menu, then i got it. I came back an hour later and actually played. I've been able to get trophies for doing specific actions in the campaign and for completing levels starting with the mountain one.

However, i never got the trophies for "helping to train the local militia" and for being "handpicked for Sheperd's elite squad". I don't know what to do. I'm hoping there's a patch to fix this and then i would just replay the level. I don't know if i should delete my game data as i don't want to go through all that stuff again. Especially if i have to re-do the trophies for a platinum.

After installing MW2 my trophies were completely un-available for a while...and then they suddenly showed back up with MW2 in the list.

I cant skip the dload. I deleted the data but have to redownload. I already played 2 levels and go no trophy

Not related to MW2 (as I didn't get it...yet) but I noticed the infamous "An error has occurred (80022A07)" error message popping up since about 10:40pm EST when I try to synch my trophies. Wonder if its related to this?

Thanks Ice, worked perfectly. Luckily I had only gotten to the fifth mission in the first act. But I love me some trophies.

I noticed that too as i was playing MW2. It worked sometimes, but not all the time.

You're lucky. I was two missions into Act III before I realized none of my trophies had registered.

Not even going to bother with the single player until IW releases a patch. And why is it that most of the time when a multiplatform game is released, the ps3 version is treated like crap.

I'm not too worried about it. I'll need to play through the campaign a second time on Veteran anyways. This will just make it even more worthwhile.

All difficulties are available at the start of the game. You don't necessarily have to beat the game on one to unlock the higher difficulty. If that's what you're thinking.

True, but I can't imagine being hard-core enough to play through on Veteran first. I bow down to any man who makes the attempt.

Ok so, after deleting the 15mb patch, do you re-download it?
