UK to US players will these titles play??

Hi, I just was wondering if someone can answer this for me......I recently ordered Scream 4, The Game, The Mist and Born on the Fourth of July from Play.UK There of course UK blurays. I am wondering if they will play on my Sony bluray player? I am in the US. I bought The Island and Almost famous from the UK its in PAL format and it plays fine on my player. So please let me know guys, little worried here. Thanks for your time.

Just curious as to why you wouldn't research the answer before you bought them.

Scream 4 and The Mist are most likely LOCKED.

The PAL format only applies to standard-definition content.

Correct.

The Mist is Region B locked, and will not work in a standard NA player.

Both Scream 4, and Born on the Fourth of July, are Region B, but not confirmed as locked, most likely though, they both are.

The Game you are safe on, that is a Region Free title and will work just fine in your US player.

In the future, look at the release page for a movie, and it will tell you the Region coding. For example:

The Game (UK)

In the center of the screen, beneath where it says Video, Audio, Subtitles, etc, it says Playback. If it says Region B, don't purchase it, if it says Region Free, you should be safe.

The Game - Region free
The Mist - Region B locked
Born of the Fourth of July - ?

I would assume Born on the Fourth of July is region free since it is a Universal release. And Universal is region free friendly.
