Excellent purchase there. First time I watched it I was in awe. One of those blind buys that you've never seen before and get treated to some of the best 1080p animation ever produced EVER.

Mine is Braveheart. Bear in its the USA version of the movie I have. The UK one comes out in November apparently.

This was my most recent purchase. I got my Blu Ray player in May and after several months wrestling with the decision, I gave in and started upgrading my collection from DVD to Blu Ray. So I've been selling stuff on Ebay and replacing them with their Blu counterparts.

Returned a faulty copy of The Godfather Trilogy (second disk was faulty) to Amazon yesterday, so had to buy that from them again (with the refeunded money).

As for new discs, I bought La Haine and Martyrs together.

Went to a CEX store yesterday and picked up the 1st season of Lost for £32. I have seen it a number of times but I couldn't resist it at this price (it was £68 over in HMV!). Impressed with the picture quality, but it's nothing truly eye-popping and less of a worthy upgrade than some other Blus I've bought.

Hmv have been churning out the bargains recently, picked all these up for a fair price.

Young Guns in particular was a really rubbsih blu ray from a technical point of view - they must have found the print for this one in a skip! There's not too much specks or dirt to be found but there's no detail either! Couple this with a tonne of edge enchancement which is something I'd never really notice unless it was really over the top, you can see it in this film from the opening credits - literally!

Just out of interest, is Eden Lake a blind buy or have you already seen it?

I'd say, if you are a fan of the genre, it is a solid blind buy:

I agree with pro-bassoonist on that. The transfer is stunning and the film itself a great example of the genre.

I was asking as I've already seen the film and while it's an excellent film, I just can't imagine ever wanting to watch it a second time. I was intrigued to hear opinions of others about it.

I'm a fan of the genre but haven't seen this movie.

Based on the review by Pro-b it definitely sounds like something I'd be interested in - I had just been waiting for the price to drop and sure enough, my girlfriend came home with it last week as a present for me - HMV had finally recuded the price to €10.99.

We're going on a camping trip very soon so we're not going to watch this one until we get back!

I thought 21 was fun with an excellent transfer, Heroes season 1 was fantastic to watch but vairable on the transfer... not that you notice it much as you're so engrossed in the story... as for season 2 being more laid back about it you do notice the atrifacts and changes in quality more... Just ploughing through Star Trek at the moment... Loving it.. and the transfer is great...the new shots add something special to it and it's the best £35 i've spent in a long time...
