Default Another speaker suggestion and placement thread...

In advance, I'd like to apologize for my horrific computer skills and drawings.

Background:

I recently purchased my first home... (hold on a second, ) and was thinking about where I would like to put my speakers and subwoofer.

As far as speakers are concerned, I currently own a pair of Paradigm Monitor 7's and a CC-290 center channel.

I'm also in the process of purchasing a SVS PC12-NSD because of its small footprint.

Living room size 18'X22' with 9' ceilings

Questions:

For the back speakers Paradigm suggestions ADP-390's for surrounds, but I'm not sure if they will work in this room. What do you think? (Pictures below)

The back wall is already wired for speakers, but the only speaker that would fit up there would be the atoms. Do you think I would need a bigger speaker?

If so, then I also thought about running the Titans on speaker stands behind the sofa.

Which speaker do you suggest and placement?
How many feet will there need to be behind the couch for your placement suggestion?
Is it really that important that speakers be at ear level?
Any other suggestions for subwoofer placement?

Also, how could I ever run 7.1 in a room with an open wall? The room next to it is the kitchen.

Yes, that is a SVS by the door.

Big box - couch.
Speaker in the corner - Paradigm Atom
Speaker on the stand - Paradigm Titan
Speakers on the back walls - Paradigm ADP-390

If you need better pictures I can see if I can get inside again, otherwise I should have the keys by the 25th.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
