Hey, that is a nice solution along with boiling HD DVD discs to get them to play.

Jeff needs to create one of his great gags. Make it a "Xbox and HD DVD survival kit" with rulers, pots, boiling instructions, and hand cream for bruises sustained.

Years ago their was a problem with Atari ST PCs where the chips would slowly unseat due to heat/cool cycles. Dropping the unit from a short distance would reseat the chips slightly.

Someone made up a gag ruler with markings for different problems. The more serious, the higher drop.

One would assume the Xbox 360 "fix" is temporary. But, you do have to wonder why it worked at all.

yea it is a wonder it even worked, but the "xbox360 and HD DVD survival kit" would be pretty funny..
