Default The Top 5 Movies Where Nazis Get OWNED.

Hey,

PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC

With Inglorious Bastards is set to be released, I found this interesting read on the Top 5 movies where Nazis received a Beating.

Here is the list:

1. The Longest Day.
2. Force 10 From Navarone.
3. Band of Brothers.
4. The Dirty Dozen.
5. Raiders of the Lost Ark.

If you have any movie in which this topic is about feel free to share.

Nazis. They’re the focus of those seeking justice everywhere and have been put squarely in the cross-hairs of one of Hollywood’s newest offerings, Inglourious Basterds, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Quentin Tarantino. In the film, Pitt governs a cavalcade of Nazi-killing talent, providing us with what could be an end-of-summer hit.

However, Inglourious Basterds wasn’t Hollywood’s first dance with epic Nazi ass-kicking.

Nazis have rightly been the recipients of the cinematic hammer of scorn for years and now is a perfect time to showcase some of the best of the best examples of those evil bastards getting what’s coming to them.

Screen Rant is proud to corral some of the greatest silver-screen titles that feature unforgiving Nazi punishment, as we review the “Top 5 Movies Where Nazis Get OWNED!”

Enjoy.

Saving Private Ryan for sure, don't think Valkyrie counts. Oh right, Das Boot.

Hopefully this will convince more people to get Band of Brothers. Very touching, heroic, dramatic, tragic and in some parts, even funny.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade should be on the list.

No really, how about "Kelly's Heroes"? Great movie with Clint Eastwood.

Pretty sure you're right.

The war was against the Germans, not the Nazis.

Might be a distinction without a difference, though.

They were all nazi's, but it's obvious that many of the grunts in the field and even higher echelon officers didn't share the same zeal for the cause as people like Hitler, Goebbles, Goerring, Himler, etc.

found different site's but here's one. http://www.helium.com/items/731363-t...erman-soldiers

Quote:
In simple terms the difference between ordinary soldiers and Nazi's was that Nazi's were party members, people who were often fanatically loyal to Hitler. Ordinary soldiers who belonged to the German army during the Second World War may have been loyal to their officers and the Fuhrer, but not all of them were members of the Nazi party. This led to some rather interesting situations towards the end of the war.

Yeah, wouldn't you say any movie dealing with germany during WWII could fall under this category, since they did eventually get owned by the allies?

Well I'll stir the pot. Yes there is a distinction between regular units and Waffen SS units. SS units were the elite troops having sworn allegiance to Hitler. They committed most of the atrocities in the war. That said, military-wise they were also some of the finest soldiers ever known and tactically won almost all their engagements right up to the end of the war. Of course it didn't hurt that they were also supplied with the best weaponry.

What are you talking about? The thread is about someone else's list.

It's then asking us whether we agree.

Might not be the world's greatest thread, but it tops "POLLZ: WHICH IS WILL SMIT'S BEST MOVIE!!" type threads.
