I would love a PS3 instalment of J&D and I think they need to cool it on Uncharted after this, make the next on on PS4. Don't burn the franchise out, or do a spin-off of Uncharted on PSP to keep the fans happy.

I don't want Uncharted to go down the R&C route of too many games to count on one hand...

I don't like Jak's appearance so I hope they kill him off or start something completely new!

Uncharted 2 is so comprehensive in game modes, online and offline, that a sequel on the PS3 couldn't possibly offer any sort of upgrade to number 2. Waiting for PS4 could open up a bunch of new options that aren't possible on PS3 for the Uncharted series.

Jak 4 has the possibility of introducing new gaming or at least something new to Naughty Dog that they couldn't accomplish in Uncharted 2.

Also, like I mentioned, another PS3 game could lead to some serious series burn out, especially since the next ND game should take less than 18 months to make and release.

I agree with your statement 110%. Too many sequels and spin offs only lead to a disaster

While they might not be able to add anything to a new uncharted whats wrong with doing the same again but with a new story? If they get it that dialed in in Uncharted2 then everything is set up for them to just release new stories every 12-18 months instead of having to redsesign the whole engine every time.

thats one advantage of consoles. if you can get an engine that works early you can use it over and over and just focus on content.

been hoping for jak for a long time. lets hope they get started on it soon. i'm ok with waiting for uncharted 3 for awhile. gotta make sure the series stays fresh

Jak4 would be great, but hopefully they work on giving us extra DLC Map Packs for Uncharted2 after it's released.

I agree with Max. I'd save it Uncharted 3 for PS4. If U2 lives up to be everything it should be, it will be pretty much a console mover at that point. saving it part 3 for the next console would be the better move for Sony and ND, just like what the GOW series is doing for PS3 now.

R&C sequels got ridiculous on the ps2.. but i think Future Tools of Destruction was a strong comeback

Jak has 3 decent games and daxter has his own psp game, im hoping for an HD experience of jak

I agree as well. When you look at series with longevity (MGS, RE, Tekken, etc) they only had 2 games per generation at most.

Yeah but we still early in this gen, so I wouldnt be surprise to see another Uncharted. They did 3 jak+ a jak racing game on PS2 and 3 crash+ a crash kart game on PS1.... so to keep the loop there is still another uncharted to come and a racing drake kart game

But we reeeeallly need more quality platformer games!!

Yeh i agree idk about waiting till PS3 for Uncharted 3... assuming its 7 years away id hate to wait that long for a quality game.. 1 title per year is a bit much.. how about Uncharted 3 with a 2012 release date =P

I don't own any PS3 games, but if there was to be a new Jak game, it would be a release day purchase for me.

Why kill him?

I think he looks alright the way he is. With better graphics he might look as good as Ratchet does.
