Jak and Daxter PS3 to be revealed at GDC 09?

"I don't like dealing in rumors and we've seen a lot of those types of people come and go now Surfer Girl, Games Blow, Skater Boy and a host of others. But I have word from a pretty damn good source that Uncharted 2 is set to make a playable appearance at GDC 09' coming up and will be officially unveiled by a major publication in December. Also, word has it from ol' buddy that at the VGA's the game will have a new teaser trailer for the game leading inward.

Set in the Snowy Mountains of a yet to be disclosed area, he said Uncharted 2 is going to be 50% uncharted, 25% Cliff Hanger and 25% Metal Gear Solid 4. He's seen it in action and it looks brilliant.

Again, nothing more than that... but it sounds logical. Ol' buddy said it won't be the only game Naughtydog shows off next year, either. Jak perhaps? "

he's been right about the uncharted rumor thus far, who knows about the breakdown of how the game will play yet, but chances are the jak rumor is true too. i just wish we had more information to go with. i'm doubting spike is gonna have 2 naughty dog reveals on the 14th.

As much as I love Jak and Daxter, maybe they should present a new platformer, unless they have a really good original story to propose. I loved Crash bandicoot back on the ps1, and was a little bit sad when they gave up the franchise, but after playing Jak and Daxter on PS2 it felt really right so maybe a new platformer franchise on PS3 would do the same. But don't get me wrong, I'm still very excited to play another Jak adventure!

i'd love to see crash make a comeback too. give us both naughty dog. 3 awesome franchises sounds good to me lol

I remember being mind blown when I bought the PS3 with Jak & Daxter...it was so spaceous and beautiful (still today). I can't wait to see the PS3 version.

well it looks like the rumor might be shot down already! i dunno tho..just because they're hard at work on uncharted doesn't mean they can't also be working on jak..it just obviously wouldn't be very far along.

just hate to think jak is still a ways off

As much as I hope this is true I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog is a pretty small studio. I don't know if they have the resources to develop 2 games at once(unlike Insomniac). Another game I was hoping for was another Sly Cooper game but Sucker Punch is a little busy with inFamous(which looks fantastic). But here's hope for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.

well now they're calling the jak and daxter a rumor for the psp, not ps3. which would be awesome for the psp, as it needs more good games...it would just be way more epic if it was ps3.

i know max said they can't do 2 games at a time, but they couldn't even have a playable uncharted 2 and a teaser trailer for jak at the same time?
