Default Favorite Genre of Music...

Just after reading about songs that mkae people sick I noticed a lot of people listing entire genres, so I was curious about peoples faovrite genres, so here it is. Discuss
And FYI Rap would be referring to artists such as B.IG., Lil wayne etc. where as hip hop would be KRS ONE, grandmaster flash etc.

Grew up listening to NYC Hip-Hop. I listen to pretty much everything now, and a lot of my old Hip-Hop CD's.

Radio: Top 40, Alternative Rock

CD's: Mostly old Hip-Hop

iPod: Everything in my music collection

I'd say rock in general for me... but if I have to get specific, I'd say between Progressive or Classic Rock.

- Queen
- Dream Theater
- Joe Satriani
- Steve Vai
- Rush
- Extreme
- Pink Floyd

Just to name a few...

Say, I am always interested in Psychedelic Trance, but am not sure where to start. Who would you recommend for a "beginner"?

I'll Second That Emotion (Love R&B as well)! Then again, I like just about everything as long as it's good music.

Some of my fave bands (since others are listing them) are: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, 10cc, King Crimson, The Moody Blues, Fiori-Seguin (french-canadian), Harmonium (french-canadian), Neil Young, The Doors, Steely Dan, The Eagles....and I better stop now!

John
