US imports in London? - Blu-ray Forum

Hello

I'm french (so excuse me for the faults), and I'd like to know where I can find some US imports in London (ie HMV...).

I'm coming to london every month for work, and it's cheaper for me to buy them in London.

Next time I'm coming is sept. 4th.
Hope someone will help me...

The only place you can buy us imports in london is downstairs in The Cinema Store which is on upper st martins lane, But be aware they are very very expensive.

Movietyme or DVDWorldUSA (online stores) are cheaper than most import brick and mortar stores and I'd suggest them over anything else

P.S they also ship to France (if I remember correctly).

Why not try amazon.com - always can find a good deal although the selection could be restrictive. Good for the forum as well.

Best bet is online via mail - it's illegal to sell the physical product in the UK. The Cinema Store has been doing so for years, and I think they have some sort of deal with Westminster Council that means HM Customs haven't ever shut them down, but they charge so much you'd save even with the P&P from the US. E.g. the Criterion DVD of The Friends of Eddie Coyle was in the £24.99 to £29.99 range from them; I got mine for £17.99 at Movietyme.

just ordered some stuff from them myself... will see how it goes...paypal intervened and slowed it down by a day... but good communication so far... should get some of the order tomorrow...
