Now that bejing is over and London is now next in line, how do you think the next Olympics will go. I personaly think it is going to be very hard to top the China's efforts in termsof scale and numbers in their displays. So i am very intrested to see what London has install for us.

What do you think? Success or failure waiting to happen?

They've got a good challenge ahead and I think they'll do everything they can to equal or top it.

I suppose we already have some of the infrastructure built, such as:-

The All England Club, Wimbledon... Tennis
Wembley... Football
Lords Cricket Ground... ???
The London Underground... Shooting

And as for such as sailing and rowing... after the summer we have had... take your pick (coming to a main street near you )

In all honesty, I'm not even thinking about London 2012 yet. I am, however, really looking forward to Vancouver 2010!

Personally, while I love the summer olympics, it's winter olympics I really enjoy.

If the show that London put on during the closing ceremonies was any indication, I don't think that those games (or at least the opening/closing ceremonies) will match up. Then again, they have four more years to come up with something grand. Either way I am looking forward to them!

BTW, this post is approved as TC-free.

Lets see London 2012:

More Doping - check
More records broken - check
More controversy over cheating - check
Tons of fun watching it and rooting on your home country - check

that ending ceremony with jimmy page was a tragedy ....

London will do fine but they won't throw 40 billion just to top the Chinese. Everyone doubted the Chinese for various reasons and a lot of boycott talk so they had to raise the bar super high.
