Default are some dvds worth getting (and will not be brought to blu?)

there are some obscure titles I am looking at but not sure if i should wait for HD or if they will ever get HD releases, they are titles along the line of ken russell at the bbc box set, or five films about christo / jeann claude, short films by peter greenway, among others... what are you guys doing about titles like that, getting them on DVD or just focusing on blu-ray, and one day they might come out?

I buy the rare stuff on DVD. I doubt they'll be coming out on Blu-ray any time soon. Plus, I don't think the studios want to spend the money to remaster rare films, since there won't be a big enough market for it to justify the expense.

However, one never knows. If they do eventually come out on BD, one can always sell off the old DVD and upgrade.

if you are into like 80s and 90s sitcoms and cartoons I would say its better to just buy them on DVD, even if they try to clean them up its not going to be a noticeable difference on blu.
