Is it only Open Matte, or is there cropping on the sides? I dont mind Open Matte, as your not losing anything, as opposed to actual cropping.

You may not be "losing" any image with the exception of FX shots, but you are losing the original framing because a close-up would become a medium shot, etc, and the positioning of the characters and objects of interest in a frame would be messed up, because you are seeing extra information on the top and bottom of the frame that was never intended to be shown.
