Good for smaller areas but I don't find it attractive. I like a receiver to be large and heavy.

That usually isn't true in the case of amplifiers. This looks like one of those HTiB receiver/player combos that CLAIM to put out 1000 watts but then sound like paper cups on strings when you actually hook it up.

This is a digital receiver similar to the Panasonic receivers. That's why its a smaller package. Some people prefer the sound of digital receivers over analog, so this will appeal to those people, and of course the buyer who likes things in small packages. The performance of this particular receiver remains to be seen however.
