Nothing "official" here, but Den of Geek just conducted an interview with Hart Bochner, who played Ellis.

When asked about his time on Die Hard, Bochner mentions:

I'm all over a new version. The extras on the 5* DVD were terrific, but the one thing lacking was a proper documentary about the making of the film. Hopefully Fox will set that right next year.

Not that the Blu-Ray looks bad, but it would be awesome if Die Hard was given a full treatment service like BladeRunner or The Terminator.

I hope they will also redo Live Free Or Die Hard and put the extended version on blu this time.

The icing on the cake would be a 3D conversion of Die Hard, with the same kind of care and attention that Titanic got.

Well Amazon now have listed new releases for all the Die Hard Fox releases (so that's all except Disney's Die Hard 3 release).

You have to be kidding I bought the quadrilogy set this year. I wonder if Die Hard will have a new transfer?

You're wrong! Die Hard would be ruined entirely, if it was converted in 3D.

I only bought mine a few weeks ago but then again that is because they are well down my pecking order of favourite films so I am happy with what I have got.

Lucky me... I didn't give in the temptation to buy the quadrilogy... I will be waiting for the complete 1-5 Collection..
