X-Mas 2009 and You!!!

so we had a short road trip this last saturday and out of nowhere my wife asks me: "so do you have any idea's of what you want for x-mas this year??"

threw me for a loop b/c i didn't think she'd start thinking of x-mas for another month and a half or so.

my 1st question to her was: "are you gonna buy me anything off my list this year??" a valid question i thought b/c my attempts @ a list the last couple of years have been futile @ best b/c my lovely wife and her entire family ask for a list every year and have yet to buy me anything off of it!!!

so it got me thinking of what i want but can hold off on getting......2 things came right to my mind, Arkham Asylum and Assassin's Creed 2.

so is there anything any of you are eyeing up but may just wait and ask for it as a gift come this holiday season???

No. If I want it or need it, I buy it. I don't wait for Christmas presents. I think that Chrismas presents should be personal and meaningful. While I can always use cash, I try to use any I get on something that I will enjoy forever and not just use on any old thing. I don't like getting games or movies for Christmas. I always buy them when they are released anyway.

If there's something i really want, then i get what's called "early presents" lol. What i REALLY want (though i'm bound to get other cool stuff too) is Wolverine blu-ray, Transformers 2 blu-ray, District 9 blu-ray (who knows when that's being released), Modern Warfare 2, Star Wars Clone Wars season 1 blu-ray.....

..... and i heard Killzone 2 is supposed to be coming to the Greatest Hits collection, so i really want that, Star Wars the Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith addition (and possibly the new GOW 1 and 2 PS3 collection) at some point. I will probably end up getting Uncharted 2 and MAG for my b-day at the end of January.

I'm finally doing up a surround sound setup. Getting a lot of blu-ray's and Modern Warfare 2.

I don't really need anything. So, I'm just looking forward to spending time with the girlfriend.

I am having my first child around Christmas this year so mostly I will just be buying things for him. I will probably get some blus and video games also.

Since we are on a budget we won't be going crazy this year. We are going to get a nice desktop for use here at home but other than that no big purchases.

I may ask for one of those new Samsung L.E.D 3,000,000 ratio tv's...they're really spiffy. Also need a ps3 slim.

i don't go nuts buying blu's or video games throughout the year so xmas is the time i get all antsy and act like a kid again!!

i'll probably ask my wife for 1 ps3 game (assassin's creed 2 i'm thinking) and a couple blu's and the 9th season of csi.

i've already starting buying some transformers for the little man and want to get a pink arcee for my daughter!!!

i played the meaningful card last x-mas, made this for my wife per her request!! it was our gift to each other!!!

yeah it's nice and is still together but it's not anything i necessarily wanted.

but....i played the good husband card and did what she wanted last year. this year, it sounds selfish, but i'm gonna ask for things i want and can enjoy!!!

I'm by myself so I can do pretty much what I want. I usually don't overindulge myself, but do buy a few things I wouldn't otherwise consider during the rest of the year. Haven't given it much thought as to what to buy this year though!

I'm getting a center channel for Christmas, then I have my tenth anniversary in January, for which I was thinking maybe a nice new receiver.

Our seventh anniversary was our last big one (it marked the longest serious relationship for either of us.) For that one I took her to New Orleans, got a room with a balcony on Bourbon St, had an orchid arrangement waiting in the room when we got there, and gave her a platinum and diamond anniversary band. I got a new sound system in my car I don't think we'll do the tenth up that big... but definately more than what we usually do which is just a nice dinner out and cards.

Probably a nice-sized gift card to Amazon so i can select a few new Blu Rays to add to the collection.
I am also looking at purchasing a new Video Display for my Home Theater.So if they are willing to chip in some cash to that cause I would be Happy with that gesture as well.

I think of Christmas all year. My tree might even go up before Thanksgiving this year.
