Default releases x-mas season

When I look at the releases coming to bd from now til december my question is this.

There is some good movies coming I mean quality movies like
north by north west, gone with the wind, etc. But over all I think there is chocking to much crap being released.

WHY. ?

I thought when we got close to x-mas they would release some movies they know would sell.

Also look at other bd markets like germany their they are release LOTS of great titles like. el cid, fall of the roman empire, etc but north America their they are still releasing lots of junk.

Yes most people are excited about films like north by north west and that is a film I am waiting for and will buy. But I think films like this is so far between just look at all the B-movies being released now.

Thought that since we was closing to hollyday season they would release some big guns, there was talk aof indiana jones, aliens, etc & I am also missing to reast of the bond movies.

How many posts like this are you going to make? You're always whining about movies you like not being released.

I think the only Crap I'm NOT gonna buy is north by north west and gone with the wind. You couldn't pay me to sit through that boring garbage.

Thank God they are relasing other things.

Amen, man. That's really what everyone of these threads boils down too. Lots of us are rather pleased with the release schedule.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Not everyone likes the same things its a simple concept to grasp but I guess the Op is having trouble with that.

Sadly, much of that has to do not with the crap that's being released, but just the amount of crap that was made. 2009 was not an impressive year for Hollywood. The big blockbuster pictures were largely unviersally condemned as crap except among folks who are comfortable making excuses for bad taste. (You can always identify them. They like to use the words "popcorn flick" to self delude.)

The only major blockbuster to have wide appeal was Star Trek and there might be some independent stuff that could be good, but overall the lack of choice this holiday season comes more from bad movies being made then delays on good ones. 2009 was a bad year for Hollywood. They got caught up in 2008's afterglow. When Michael Bay has the most anticipated movie of the year, you just know it'll be a bad year for culture.
