Default Making my passive sub active
I recently purchased a home theater speaker set (Acesonic 510) and have been enjoying it very much. The only problem is it has a passive sub so for right now its just a 5.0 setup . What is the cheapest way with the least amount of work to make my sub active? I am a college student and I don't have all of the money in the world.
-I have considered installing a plate amplifier but that would require drilling/ cutting etc.
-The subwoofer can handle 250 watts @ 6ohms

Any help/ suggestions would be greatly appreiciated.
