Question Passive Subs

What is the best way to have 2 passive subs connected to a home theater??
I have a Panasonic system SC-PT650 that has 1 passive sub in it now. I want to connect 1 more to it., How do I go about this??? The other sub has the same spec,s as the sub in my panasonic system.

Why don't you just get a whole new system that does HD audio too for less than $500? Read.

HTiB isn't meant to add more subs- especially passive. You're asking too much of the amp in that thing.

Passive subs really don't hold a candle to an active sub. I think if you're happy with the rest of your setup, you could possibly just purchase an active sub. There's some great bargains over in the subwoofer forum.

Otherwise, DK's suggestion is always solid.

A passive sub takes its electricity from the receiver/HTiB. Even if you did attach another passive sub (just split the signal and feed it to the other sub) you're effectively splitting the signal and voltage to the two subs, not doubling the signal.

With active subs, you can double the bass factor easily. But again, it's not about the boom but about how closer you can make your system to sound like a reference system.
