Would love some feedback on either one or both before purchasing them. i would think Mary might look a bit better than major league but I guess i could be wrong. Thanks guys!

I'm watching Major League right now. Looks like a typical catalog release. Good, not great. I never knew about the alternate ending until I saw it was an extra.

I just had to blind-buy Major League. It's one of my favorites, and for some odd reason I never got around to buying it on DVD. Hopefully it's a good transfer. I don't have it yet. It shipped yesterday from Amazon along with the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly & Fargo.

He means without reading reviews of the picture/sound quality. The term could be used either way I guess.

I prefer the "I've never watched this movie but based on reviews or pure thrill I'm going to pick this up at full retail" definition of "blind buy".

Exactly. I was referring to blind in the sense of the quality of the transfer. Unfortunately catalog titles are still too much of a mixed bag to just grab them up. They certainly don't price them according to the effort they put in to them. I couldn't think of another way to refer to it other than a blind-buy.

This movie is great. It has some of the best one liners in any movie. I watched it yesterday and thought it looked really good.

This is one of my favorite sports movies, by far my favorite baseball movie. The only sports movie I would put ahead of it is Raging Bull. Everyone always rates Bull Durham high but IMO the movie is way too much of a chick flick while Major League is funny as hell.
