If this has been posted before then I apologise in advance, but this is something that has been on my mind for years, and now it seems it might materialise sooner than I had ever imagined.
Wireless electricity, better known as 'WiTricity'. Think of the applications ! It seems it involves converting electricity to resonating magnetic waves which are then transmitted through the air. Completely safe to both humans and animals also, as there is no radiation emitted. Imagine being able to place your 150" paper thin OLED screen (to replace that old PJ and fixed screen) ANYWHERE, with no power lead dangling from it. Eric Giler, the CEO of the company behind it all explains it alot better here: http://www.ted.com/talks/eric_giler_...ectricity.html Amazing stuff indeedy. ![]() |
