Thumbs up Attention audiophiles !

Had my AV crew over to the house to reprogam my two channel button on my remote. They had a CD with them that they use to demo their systems. He put the CD in and I was blown away by the organic sound and the imaging was simply stunning! I could go on and on but I will not bore you to death. The specific CD he used is on the front page of the link below. It is called Music Festival and is a sampler CD that is only 7.50. Check it out, and let me know if you have heard of this label or if you order a CD. Thanks !

PS I know I will but which one????

What the hey- I just ordered it.

I've been "rediscovering" my cd collection lately, and actually adding to it - go figure.

Off Topic:
Check out the InnerPartySystem cd, one of my latest purchases. Also $8 at Target, it lit up my system! -- Highly recommend.

The closest I've yet come to actually being convinced that "the band" is performing in my living room is with "Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue" on SACD. Rather great price for an SACD too. There is a Japanese version said to be of even better quality but I am literally blown away by the standard SACD version. I'm not normally into jazz but I could listen to this one all day. I desperately need to find more like it !!!!!

I'm also pretty sure with Mapleshade records all their stuff is recorded with tube gear so if you like what you hear, you might get the tube bug !!! I have yet to hear anything from Mapleshade that I would really listen to myself.

That is funny! I enjoyed reading on the the place where they record and the bare bones recording tactics employed! And I find the prices reasonable as well. Great to hear other blu members that love great analog music!

Would you be up to ripping that Bose CD so I can get a copy? They are impossible to get elsewhere (and you can't buy them).

Since we're kind of on the topic- I'll toss this out to my fellow br.com gearheads. I love blues, but other than the occasional cd here or there, I'm not sure what to look into. I've hear many good things about "Kind of Blue" that was mentioned earlier, and it's on the list to pick up.

I don't have SACD capabilities but would really love a good mix of blues, jazz and blues/rock. Suggestions?

On topic, I'm thinking of picking up this cd. Also, there's some other good albums on the mapleshade homepage! *edit* Here's one I like: http://www.mapleshaderecords.com/cds/10032.php

If this is all done with tubes... oh dear lord. I may be in trouble. They sound great even on my little desktop pc speakers!

go for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, 'Live Art' for a really nice musical experience. If you don't know who Bela Fleck is, your really missing out.

I really don't. I love Blues but I mostly listen to live acts, and haven't even done that in years. I'll definitely look into it! I've kind of let my music collection really stagnate.
