Default Moving PS3 Between Rooms ???

I am about to purchase a second HDTV, a smaller one for my bedroom. I don't want to buy a second PS3, but I do want to move the existing one between rooms. My cables are nylon tied and difficult to get to in my living room so I will be just moving the console. I know I will need to purchase a second HDMI cable, probably from monoprice.com, but I have no idea what is going to be a compatible power cord. I am sure it is a standard cord, but could someone shed some light on the exact specifications of the cable. Even better would be a link for where to buy one.

Thanks in Advance!

Here you go....from Parts Express:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=110-175

The cord on the PS3 is a standard three-prong grounded plug with an IEC connector that goes into the PS3.....just like you would find on a computer.

Here is one from Monoprice:

Are the rooms close to each other? Try taking your Ps3 controller into your bedroom and see if it works with the PS3 still in the main room. Bluetooth has further range and works through walls pretty decently. IF it does work from your bedroom you can look for a very very long HDMI cable or extension or something. That way you wouldn't have to move your PS3 (and risk breaking it). You would just need to swap the cables. Even better yet you could run the HDMI from the PS3 into a HDMI switch box (there some semi cheap ones out there) and then run HDMI from the switch box to your current HDTV and to the bedrooms HDTV. Then all you would need to do is flip the switch.

If the controllers don't work because of the distance its possible you could place the PS3 somewhere between the 2 rooms, run it into the HDMI switch box and then get 2 long HDMI cables to run to each TV as well.

Only downside is you would need to walk to the main room to swap games/movies if you had to.
