Default Center Channel

I'm looking at maybe finishing off my PC system. Which so far consists of 2 RB-61's and a PSW10, and was looking at getting a RC-52, and RS-42's.

I Just have one minor flaw, where do I put the center speaker? I can't modify the desk or put holes/scratches in the wall.

So far I've come up with:
-Build a little shelf that sits on the desk to lift the monitors up 7-7.5" (top of the monitors will be around the top of the desk light ) to stick the center directly under.
-Build a shelf to go over-top the monitors, might look a little oddball.
-Place the cables there and hook up the center where the keyboard is whenever I need it.
-Don't buy them.

If anyone has any other ideas/suggestions, please do tell.

Pick up some surround sound headphones. =)

Why cant you punch a couple holes in the wall? You can get some stuff to easily patch them back up and make it look like there wasn't a speaker mounted there in the first place. Otherwise I'd get a shelf to boost your monitors up a bit leaving room below them for the center channel.

I live in rez, even putting a pin mark in the wall from a poster is a 50$ fine (per hole).

the custom shelf to set the monitors on and the center underneath sounded like a winner to me.

Is it possible to just repair any holes you would put in the wall before you move out?

They do random room checks 1-2 times a semester, probably best not to risk it.

WTF? That's crazy dude! Find some speaker stands that can support a center channel the same way they can support surrounds is my only idea.....good luck!

What about something like this?

I've seen things similar to this in like home depot, target, and lowes. They are generally inexpensive. You could rest your monitors on the top shelf and have the center channel underneath.

Hmm... Wonder if welding a stand together that goes behind the desk and over-top the monitors would work.

If you are handy with woodwork then build a nice shelf & put both screens on top of the shelf& the center under
