Default Anybody get free cable (not illegally running it)

This is wierd, but for the last few months or so I've been getting cable over my Antenna. It's only about the first 50 channels or so, and it's got a lot of static. I can watch ESPN, Disney, Sci-Fi, and almost every single one from 25-50 clearly. The lower ones around 4-20 are almost unwatchable. When it first happened I checked every single place cable comes in to see if maybe the apartment complex I was in had a deal where everybody got basic cable, but none of them are hooked up.

The only thing I can think is I am getting a leak from the box right outside my wall where they have a line in for this side of the complex and about 30 lines out to the individual apartments.

The odd thing though is this only happened recently as if there's a loose wire or something, but the cable guy has messed with the box a few times since I've been here, so I would figure they would notice something very obvious.

The nice thing, my local OTA channels come in crystal clear on my other TV in the bedroom off a 50ft extension cable, so I get my local channels in HD, and I've got the static for my cable channels in the living room for everything else. The cool thing is I don't really watch any shows that aren't on the channels I receive.

My wife and I rent a house where the cable is still working over 4 years later... we've never seen a bill.

Yeah, oddly this happened to me about for about 3 years until I moved out, back in 1999 we had gotten a cable box and we cancelled it and unplugged it from the tv. About a year later, the box was just sitting in the entertainment stand collecting dust. I unplugged it and took it up to my room and all of the sudden, all the channels were coming in. I mean even the PPV were coming in. I did not have a cable descrambler to get them illegally. All I had was just the coaxial hooked in from the wall to the box and then another from the box to the vcr. It was awesome.

My parents get the regular channels. They had cancelled the cable a few years back but the signal still keeps going in I guess.
