I do not know about the non-powered splitter I have heard that they do not work as well as the powered ones. I have the below listed one coming from my Receiver's HDMI out to my TV and Projector and it works like a charm.

This is an ironic thread for me, as I just got this one from Monoprice. It does cost $60, but it is 1.3b ATC certified. I just set it up last night, as I got my new projector and it worked with no issue at all, as I run HDMI to both my LCD and a 35' run to the projector. Also, it has an internal equalizer that further powers up the signal, keeping it strong by the time it reaches the end of the 35' run. Although pricey, it is worth every dime if you want a really good powered one.
