Question PS2 HD Cable Killed My TV???

Hey guys and gals.

Need abit of help.

Wanted to hook my PS2 up to my HD cable so bought a HD cable (PS2 > green blue etc.) and I hooked it up and played PS2 in great picture for a few minutes. Few hours later I came back to my PS2 and the TV wouldn't switch on. Just bought a new TV, and am wondering if I should use that cable again. Do you think it kiled my old TV, or was that a coincidence? I may have knocked the tv when I was hooking it up.

any thoughts? thanks alot

sorry if thats hard to understand

I'm using the PS2 cable also, it works fine but I should just get the HDMI cable.
