Default Eliza Dushku interested in WET movie

Eliza Dushku, the voice behind WET’s gun-slinging protagonist Rubi, has expressed interest in reprising her role in a live-action adaptation of the stylish PS3/Xbox 360 action romp.

Speaking with MTV’s Multiplayer Blog, the Dollhouse star heaped praise on her feisty digital alter-ego, commenting, "This video game 'Wet' I just did, she's got a working class Lara Croft thing going on, and she's pretty kick ass. She travels the globe, she's in Hong Kong and she's in the UK and she's a gun for hire and she's got two samurai swords. She's pretty vicious.”

"So that's been something that maybe could turn into a live-action Dushku vehicle."

So, PSU readers, are you interested in the prospect of WET receiving a big screen makeover? Let us know in the comments section below.

Of course she's interested. She's a terrible actress and thankfully her career seems all but washed up.

Little harsh, don't you think? She was great as Shaundi in Saints Row 2. Not much "acting" to get into that character.

She is in the middle of the second season of a show that is getting good ratings on a major network. Your statement makes no sense.

I don't think shes a bad actress at all... she just never seems to get good roles I guess, haha... I wouldn't mind seeing a WET movie though, because I'm never buying a rubbish game like that but I'd watch a corny action flick. *shrugs*

Hmm...that would be a strange thread title if I didn't know about the game...

I played the demo...not interested in the game...and in turn, not interested in any potential movie. Great music though

I don't think it is that she doesn't get good roles, but much of the last 10 years of her career has been spent on TV. 18 episodes of Dollhouse (so far), 27 episodes of Tru Calling, almost 30 episodes of Buffy/Angel. She has been busy on shows that have good followings.

Wet is a bit like Prince of Persia with guns except Prince of Persia is like totally tubular and awesome while Wet is pretty ok. If you can look over the "loose controls" the game can be pretty fun. It's got a Tarantino-esque feel to it.

You may be asking "What does 'loose controls' mean?" I didn't know what it meant either until I played the game.

As for a Wet movie, sure. I'd check it out!

It think this should have been a movie first.

Judging by the demo, it's of the same quality as most Movie based videogames and I think it would translate better on film anyway.

I was only in the industry for a short time and I only worked in New York and Jersey City, but the L.A. guys that I worked with on a couple of commercials said that Eliza Dushku was a totally rad, down to earth chick who was a dream to work with. (This is going back 10 years now, but she couldn't have changed that much.)

Her roles never vary much, because she will only play strong female parts and I applaud her for making the roles she takes work for her. She hasn't sold out yet and now she's producing her own stuff. I have also heard (and this is unconfirmed craft services table talk) that early on, she gave up money for creative control which (if it's true) speaks VOLUMES about her character.

I also have to disagree with that statement... I have been a huge fan of Eliza Dushku for many years and she is a very talented actress and the proof of that is being chosen for the roles she plays either in movies or tv series.
She was great as Faith in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and more than happy to see her reprise that role in a few episodes of Angel.
Tru Calling was a brilliant show that was never given more of a chance to fully develop and I wish it had continued. Dollhouse is also a good show and when season 1 became available to buy on Blu I got that straight away.
I have seen all her movies including Wrong Turn, The Alphabet Killer & Bring It On. Some movies I liked, others not so much but that was not down to her acting.
I will continue to follow her career and enjoy her movies and shows.

ELIZA ROCKS!!

I only played the demo of that game and it was okay as a game...who knows what they can do for a movie, but she is a decent actress and not awarding as of yet...she can be though...a lot of potential and shes a hottie...

I love Dollhouse, but it's actually getting poor ratings, which is a real shame.

On a happier note though, I agree with TGReaper. I'm a big fan of Eliza as well. Tru Calling was great and I was really angry at Fox for how they treated that show. I already commented on Dollhouse. While I haven't seen all of her movies, I enjoy watching her stuff. I would be all for a movie version of WET. If done right, it could be a fun movie.

I love me some kick-ass battlin' babe blowing away bad guys and looking good while doing it. Dushku's a solid actress with a good track record of strong female leads, making her not only ideal for voicing a character like Rubi but ideal to play her too. I enjoyed the demo a lot - like a Stranglehold follow-up shot by Robert Rodriguez, a whole lotta fun - so count me in for a movie as long as it's done right. We could have Desperado with a female lead or we could have Barb Wire 2, and the latter simply won't do.
