Default Help replacing blown subwoofer

New to the forum and I need some suggestions. My existing 10 year old sunfire signature (11x11x11) subwoofer is shot. Sunfire wants $450.00 to repair. I would like to replace with something new but need to keep the size no bigger than 12x12x12 do to space restrictions. Should I just pay sunfire to repair or is there a better replacement in the $500.00 range? Thanks

Just curious..... do you have to stay exactly within those measurements or can you vary a little bit? Like, maybe keep the footprint but go a little taller? Secondly, are you handy with tools and able to build something from a kit?

I would say that for a cube limit of 13"x13"x13" it will be very hard to replace the performance level of you sunfire for the cost of repair.

If you do decide to update, PM me I'll buy your blown Sunfire (you can even ship with my fedex account and have them pick it up). I have 2 Sunfire subs now, 3 will be even better

The sunfire does have a odd cutout and is 3.3 ohm. when I blew one of mine I tried 4 diffrent woofers and could not find one that fit and cleared the amp
