Default Blu-ray TV releases NO episode guides

I dont know if anyone else is annoyed with this but with Television releases on Blu....I have noticed that they dont really come with an episode guide. Does anyway know why?

I had been really lucky up until today, every TV series I have purchased has an episode guide of some kind, either printed on the reverse of the label, or a physical guide: Dexter S3, Supernatural S3 and S4, Pushing Daisies, Chuck, and Terminator.

But today I got How I Met Your Mother Season 4, and no guide. Bummer, but I will just have to make one I suppose. I'll find the dimensions of Blu-Ray inserts, and design my own.

For the ones I have...

Firefly has a dvd ep listing insert.
Torchwood has an ep listing on the packaging and the ep numbers that each disc has are labelled right on the disc.
Battlestar Galactica complete series set has nothing

Does it really matter? Most blu's don't have inserts.

I would personally say yes it matters and can see why it annoys the OP. I buy a lot of TV shows on DVD/Blu-Ray and often use the episode guide inserts to remind me where I left off and on Blu-Ray it is even worse than DVD to begin with since most Blu-Rays can't resume due to the Java loading or whatever it is that prevents that.

Fringe also resumes where you left off....

Pretty much one the best Shows to own on blu

Great Show + Resumes Play + Episode Guide = Awesomeness on an unprecedented scale

Lost season 5 collector's edition doesn't have one, but I suppose when you're obsessed enough with a show to pay an extra 30$, you don't really need one.
One thing that's rather nice with ABC, though, is season play, which tells you where you left off and tells you which disc this was on.
Warner releases usually have inserts.

Only season 3 of Lost came with an episode guide. And while some may not be bothered by this, I hate not having a guide, especially when you want to find a specific episode

I like to cycle between several series at the same time. The episode guide helps me decide whether I'm in the mood for the next Dollhouse episode or the next Torchwood episode.

It is kind of annoying, but if you put in the wrong disc just click on the other discs in the menu screen and you can see what disc your episode is on. Then again, I always use season play for Lost.

I think it's essential for TV shows to come with episode lists and synopses. You'd be surprised if a movie came without a summary on the back wouldn't you?

I often watch 6 or 7 episodes of a show and then come back to it later and I need a synopsis to remind me where I'm up to!

Plus it's just "nice to have" - y'know?
