With the demo now released on all formats what do you guys think??

Speaking as a PS3 user I can so far see a huge improvement.. neither 2008 or 2009 really delivered the next gen feel promised.

The graphics are out of this world.. player details have been much improved.

Shooting has been revamped for the better and I feel you have alot more control over a players body movement and counter attacks flow better.

i love it. the gfx looks great, no swimming animation like fifa. if the game had all the teams like fifa then there would be no fifa in existance. i love the new dribble tricks. haven't played around with the new tactics menu yet but its nice they show a graphical display of the different tactics.

I've been a long-time fan of the Winning Eleven series ever since the PS2 iterations.

Unfortunately, with a lot of pain in my heart, I must admit that the 2008 and 2009 editions were technically subpar. It just didn't feel like a PS3 game, more like a PS2 game with framerate issues to boot.

Now, with 2010, it seems Winning Eleven is back to its former self. The control feels immediately intuitive, graphics look good, framerate is smooth ... it's the Winning Eleven I loved so much on PS2, brought to the next generation (finally) on PS3 and with trophies to boot! Only question remark that remains is to see if the online will be stable.

I've also played the Fifa 10 demo. It's technically a good game but I still can't help prefering the Winning Eleven controls and gameplay over Fifa's.

Guess I'd better preorder my Winning Eleven 2010 copy then

Any ideas if there will be differences between Winning Eleven 2010 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010? Or will it just be the exact same game localized. In the past, there used to be differences between the two versions.

There was a time where I probably stopped buying FIFA because PES was just way ahead. I agree with the previous post, 2008 and 2009 were not so great even 2007 was lacking. Anyway, PES10 demo is great, feels better a bit more realistic, the players have a more natural feel as well as the surroundings.

FIFA looks good, but every freaking player is super lightning fast it's unbelievable. The players look like plastic. I like the demo don't get me wrong, but I think this yeah I'll be going to back to PES10 as I skipped the last 2 editions. There should be some custom option files out there with all the correct kits and such.

Yes , yes , and more yes. 2008 was ugly but I still enjoyed it. 2009 was better but not there yet but I still loved it. 2010 is everything I was hoping for on a visual basis and personally I think it looks better than the FIFA 10 demo. A lot of people claim FIFA is better just for the graphics and I don't agree. I think the gameplay is vastly better on PES. I don't like the "underwater feeling" FIFA has when I control my players.

I have always loved PES and I still do , even more so now. I love that when you start the game you are jumped into the stadium right away, very nice. I have lost a lot of friends to FIFA but I'm hopeful they will come back now.

I can't wait !!

By the way, it would be nice if we could play online. (Hopefully it doesn't lag )

Fifa fan here. For some reason I can't get into winning eleven as well as FIFA.

But will check out the demo.

Really? I found it harder to control players. Even when in possession of the ball with a player like Messi it look him ages to turn or change direction while running.

I've pre-ordered my copy because I know once I get used to the changes I will prefer it to the previous edition - always happens.

I found it hard to handle as well, but the gameplay felt much better than previous years.

Could someone please tell me if the UK version will have "Italian" in the language selection?
Did Pes 2009?
Thank you

I spent the last few days playing both demos and I have to say that I like Pro Evolution much better. At first I was not sure, but after playing like 20 matches on both, I have made up my mind. I was always a Winning Eleven/Pro Evolution fan, but I have skipped the last two. The visuals and player models are much improved as well as the lighting and the shadows on the pitch. I am glad that they finally caught back up and I will be able to enjoy this series again! As far as controlling Messi, I felt I had much more control with him in Pro Evolution and I could actually blow by defenders.
