There are alot of bugs with this game mate. I could not even get mine past the team selection screen till this morning. Konami are aware that there are problems and will release a Firmware update soon.

yeh, i think its only the online mode that is not running smoothly other than that the ps3 version is fine, as some people were saying that it lags a little in the ps3 version but i cant see it.

Any of you kind folks here know if the JPN version, Winning Eleven 2008, will include English commentary? I'm contemplating on getting the Euro version of PES 2008 instead of waiting till Nov 11...

ive had my ps3 for about 3 months know and it has been running smoothly but recently while playing pro evo 7 it crashed twice, when i pressed the ps button it woudnt work or the on/off switch so i had to turn the power off. i chekced my pro evo disc it was fine not a mark and with it being blu-ray even if it had a scratch it would still work.
would do you guys think is this happened to you before is my ps3 dying and should i get it replaced or is it the game. some advice would be appreciated thanks. |

As well as checking for the latest firmware updates you should try putting another game in to see if you have problems with other titles.

Pop a regular DVD or a Blu in it to see if it runs if you don't have any other games. If it still doesn't work, join the club and call Sony for warranty

My PS3 can freeze when I play Oblivion since that game have that problem.
But whenever my PS3 freezes I turn off the console by holding my finger on the I/O for a few seconds to force the PS3 to turn it self off, when that happens it will beep and shutdown. When your PS3 freezes do that because turning it off from behind when the PS3 is on might damage the console. |

thanks for the feedback guys and no it hasnt happened to any other games and the firmware is up to date. my mates ps3 froze today when he was playing pro evo 7 so i think it might be some dodgy discs out there. if it keeps happening i think i will have to go to the store and change the disc.

Most PS3 issues are relative to breathing space. Apparently the PS3 has 3 fan speeds, if yours is gearing up to third gear it needs more ventilation.
Also, because winter is upon us, you might want to consider moving your machine away from heating appliances. It can make all the difference. Just as a temporary measure, move the machine out in the complete open or put a fan nearby and see if the issues continue. If the problem is only with one game disc, its probably the game itself. If its every game, its more probably about heat as gaming will produce the most heat overall as the CPU's are clocking at full stretch. |

Your PS3 should run flawlessly. If it happens with any other game, I would use your warranty if you have one.

After assuming that reviewers are cooking up a storm of sh%t on the new pro evo soccer on PS3 for nothing......i still went ahead and got a copy yesterday.........and i felt like going out and shooting that "seabass" fellow at konami after about 10 min of gameplay
It is absolutely horrid how konami / sony could allow such a product to hit retail shelves......the framerate issues render it useless as a video game and i've seen talk on various of forums of a patch in the works to fix this. I guess sony is not seeing the bigger problem irrespective of whether they can fix this game or not (how and when is an entirely separate question). This game is BIG in Europe and Asia and was supposed to drive PS3 (and blu ray player of course) sales in that territory this holiday. The fact that the PS3 version sucks and not the 360 version has canned all possibility of "winning hearts and minds" of gamers in Europe and Asia. What hurts even more is that konami and sony are supposed to be in bed with each other ![]() Assassin's Creed will be the last straw......i have a sinking feeling that the PS3 version will be found wanting again.......why the hell is this happening....i'm begining to doubt whether we actually have the more powerful hardware...the evidence so far is not good fellow gamers........need reassurance...........fast!!....pleeeaaaseee |

I heard that the 360 version of the game had problems too, though not as bad as the PS3 version... |

maybe its not the hardware but the developer's which ever developers worked on that game did not do enough Quality Control. which means its rushed everyone is complaining about not getting games as fast as the other system..when you rush a port this is the quality you get..this team is no KOJIMA. they certainly have not had enough development time with the playstation 3 hardware to get performance that they need to make a good product with out time and practice with the playstation 3 hardware. Look at what is being released a $400.00 playstation 3 release is being done right now and the pre orders are through the roof .Konami got their wish the price of the playstation 3 has been reduced but then they release a bug ridden copy of a port for a system that is designed not the same as the playstation 3 but want to port that game over to the playstation 3 with out enough quality control. one only has to look at Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a 3rd party game by the way and that game runs better and looks better than the xbox360 counter part but it came out on the xbox360 FIRST. there is your answer... ![]() |
